Chari and Co now carrying The Grime tees and hoodies.  These cats make me re-appreciate biking again, and breathe a breath of fresh air back into real riding.  A reminder that riding a fixed gear is more than growing a beard, wearing little hats, and acting like a ho.  If you’d like to get shit’d on, watch The Grime below:

Forced Entry [1974]

Posted in Uncategorized by acidsquid on March 14, 2010

This is the trailer for the 1974 slasher/sexploitation flick, Forced Entry starring Harry Reems.  Reems was more known for his rolls in adult films like Deep Throat as well as The Devil In Miss Jones.  Born in the Bronx in 1947 as Herbert Streicher, Reems later went on to make his name in over a hundred films.  His stage name Harry Reems was given to him by director Jerry Gerard during the filming of Deep Throat.  Initially, Reems was hired to do lighting for the film, but due to a casting snafu he ended up in the film.  Harry Reems name would soon become synonymous with controversial film making.

Back from NYC

Posted in Uncategorized by acidsquid on January 31, 2010

We just got back this afternoon from a weekend in NYC.  It was cold as fuck, and there was definitely not much lurking to be done.  It was pretty much in the teens all weekend, and borderline painful to be outside.  Regardless, we had a good time and a ton of good food.  One of our first stops was down to Orchard St to see our buddy Mat Terwilliger at SHUT Skates.  These are a couple of flicks from our visit at SHUT.

Mr. Bickle

“All the animals come out at night – whores, skunk pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, junkies, sick, venal. Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets. I go all over. I take people to the Bronx, Brooklyn, I take ’em to Harlem. I don’t care. Don’t make no difference to me. It does to some. Some won’t even take spooks. Don’t make no difference to me.” Travis Bickle Taxi Driver (1976)

“Harold, it’s Bateman, Patrick Bateman. You’re my lawyer so I think you should know: I’ve killed a lot of people. Some girls in the apartment uptown uh, some homeless people maybe 5 or 10 um an NYU girl I met in Central Park. I left her in a parking lot behind some donut shop. I killed Bethany, my old girlfriend, with a nail gun, and some man uh some old faggot with a dog last week. I killed another girl with a chainsaw, I had to, she almost got away and uh someone else there I can’t remember maybe a model, but she’s dead too. And Paul Allen. I killed Paul Allen with an axe in the face, his body is dissolving in a bathtub in Hell’s Kitchen. I don’t want to leave anything out here. I guess I’ve killed maybe 20 people, maybe 40. I have tapes of a lot of it, uh some of the girls have seen the tapes. I even, um… I ate some of their brains, and I tried to cook a little. Tonight I, uh, I just had to kill a LOT of people. And I’m not sure I’m gonna get away with it this time. I guess I’ll uh, I mean, ah, I guess I’m a pretty uh, I mean I guess I’m a pretty sick guy. So, if you get back tomorrow, I may show up at Harry’s Bar, so you know, keep your eyes open.” Patrick Bateman American Psycho (2000)
